How BGIS Dealt With Coronavirus Outbreak

It is my belief that the most irreparable loss was regarding the educational aspects. I extend my heartfelt gratitude towards not only the doctors, nurses, and policemen but also towards the teachers. They were the ones who arranged everything, worked day and night, adopted new patterns, innovated new ideas just to teach their students all over the world. They knew that the children were trapped in their homes, and all their routines were halted, education as well.
So, they all have tried to minimize the loss to the young minds.
At Bhaktivedanta Gurukula and International school, our teachers and staff members left no stone unturned in the entire pandemic period. Starting from the morning sadhana, they delivered their academic knowledge and helped students through GCC (Gurukula care classes). Our students were given competitions within the class to make the lessons more interactive. All the examinations were taken online, and so were the PTMs. Overcoming all obstacles, our teachers worked hard in online summer courses LAKSHYA, where students were made to develop co-curricular skills. We got an overwhelming response from India and abroad.

Our annual festival Krishnanushilanam was given a new face. This time, over 19,000 students registered and competed from about 28 countries of the world. The students of BGIS got an opportunity to compete on the international level. We also got the opportunity to spread Krishna consciousness to all the participating children and their parents. BGIS also occasioned to participate in Gitanushilanam along with many IITs from India. This contest on Bhagwat Gita aimed to spread the message of Gita to the entire world. It was amazing to see our children participating enthusiastically and winning prizes in such cavernous competitions.

Now, it’s the time that the Covid era is going, and we are there to resume education with new enthusiasm and new ideas. Let me take the opportunity to pass the best blessings from Sri Sri Radha Shyamsunder, Gaur Nitai, and Srila Prabhupad to all the parents, teachers, and the entire team of BGIS. Let’s work together for the bright future of our children so that they can become the Sresthas of this world and get the right spirit of servitude and can please Guru and Gauranga.
