Dr. B. Sai Kiran has visited our campus today to conduct one hour session of Vedic Maths. He hold 5 record in Guinness book of world record. He also has 2 National record. The session was mainly for Middle grade and senior grade students.
In this session he vividly described about the Vedic Maths system. Where he said that this is a methodology of fast calculations having Vedic sutras which saves time in maths and has benefits & features to develop mental maths and speed in maths.
He explained the following importance of Vedic Math 1. 1. Speed and Accuracy in Maths
2. Reduce Rough Work
3.Save Time in Calculations
4. Students Confidence increases
5. They are able to achieve higher Ranks in Competitions
6. It Makes Mathematics very interesting
As Dr Sai Kiran suggested that this Vedic Mathematics should be practiced in school also because it helps to develop students for a higher level of learning in maths. As the students are able to reduce their rough work and save time in calculations, they are able to solve questions quickly.
Students will also get more confident in maths to appear for tests and exams.
He also added that teachers can easily be trained in a short duration of training time. It has simple methods of doing methods that can be easily comprehended by the students.
It makes teaching really maths more fun and children will just love it.
