The appearance of Shri Krishna on the holy land of Mathura marks the triumph of dharma over adhama At BGIS, students and community members were engaged in series of enriching activities leading to and on the day of Janmashtami, making it a memorable experience of spiritual enlightenments
The preparations for Janmashtami began a week in advance tuning the hearts and mind of the devotees to welcome the lord by chanting extra round of lord’s names under the guidance of Radhakant prabhu and Karamveer Prabhu
As the day of Janmashtami approached, anticipation grew. The day of Janmashtami started with mangal aarti followed by tulsi puja and inviting their lordships in beautiful srinagar during darshan aarti. Morning Bhagavatam class given by H.G Hayagreva prabhu and H.G Krishnanand Prabhu offered insights at allowing students to deepen this understanding, sparling thoughtful discussions among students
As the day passed, the devotees immersed themselves in Tapa and Krishna book reading. Kids decorated the temple hall with flowers and hangings. Some senior and middle school student’s even chanted 64 round of the Hare Krishna Maha Mantra
The Culture program in the evening was the highlight of the festivities. It was presided over by our principal, Shreedevi Mahapratra and Dean H.G Radhakant Prabhu. Our little kids dressed up as Radharani and Krishna won everyone’s hearts. Following this, teachers shook the entire stage with their lively dance performance
The cultural program was a resounding success with the humorous yet thought- provoking dramas titled as “Karma Returns” by middle school students. The senior grades concluded the culture program with wonderful depiction of Krishna leela through “Game Of Dice”
Following the cultural performance, Everyone proceeded to the temple for Abhishekam. Teachers and Students did Abhishekam with sacred substances: juices, milk, ghee etc. The special aarti that followed was filled with spiritual vibrations, as everyone sang and danced in harmony and devotion.
