Celebrating Gaur Purnima with Devotion and Enthusiasm at Bhaktivedanta Gurukula and International School (BGIS)

Bhaktivedanta Gurukula and International School (BGIS) recently celebrated the auspicious occasion of Gaur Purnima with great enthusiasm and devotion. The school is known for its dedication to the principles of ISKCON and Gaudiya Vaishnavism, and the festival of Gaur Purnima holds a special place in the hearts of all Vaishnavas..
The highlight of the day was the Glorification of Lord (Gaur Katha) lecture delivered by HG Jay Damodar Prabhuji and HG Radhakant Prabhuji. Their inspiring words filled the hearts of the students and staff with devotion and love for Lord Chaitanya.
The grade 9 students performed a special drama based on the story of Chand Kazi, which was enjoyed by all.
In the evening, the school organized a Maha-Sankirtan with Gaur Nitai Sobha Yatra, a grand procession that traveled from the hostel building to the goshala to the temple, spreading the message of Lord Chaitanya's love and mercy to all. The day ended with the Maha Abhishek, a grand ceremony where the deities were bathed in milk, yogurt, honey, and other auspicious substances.
The next day, the students celebrated the festival of Holi in the Vrindaranyam campus grounds, enjoying the vibrant colors and festive atmosphere of the occasion.
Overall, the celebration of Gaur Purnima at BGIS was a wonderful experience for all the students and staff. It brought them closer to Lord Chaitanya and the principles of Vaishnavism, inspiring them to lead a life of devotion and service to the Lord.
