BGIS, Vrindavan became one of the first residential schools to reopen in the state amid the Covid-19 pandemic. The school is taking all precautions and following the guidelines issued by the Ministry of Education by maintaining adequate distance between two beds in hostel rooms, having isolation centres on the school campus, ensuring one child per desk and having 50 per cent students at one time.

BGIS has ensured thorough cleaning and disinfecting of all the areas, furniture and equipment on the campus, and adequate air flow in the indoor spaces. Cleaning, disinfecting and promoting hand hygiene are everyday actions at BGIS.

BGIS has made its own SOP based on the guidelines issued by the State, ensuring physical/social distancing while planning seating arrangements and staggered time tables, besides entry/exit timings and points. All the students and staff are required to wear face cover/mask.
Students, parents, teachers, community members and the hostel staff are sensitised on the pandemic-related challenges.

The school has full-time trained health care attendant, nurse and doctor to take care of the physical and mental health of students. Regular health check-up of students and teachers is organised.

With the COVID-19 pandemic taking its toll, the health question and the immunity associated with it have become all the more important. In this context,BGIS has set an example by growing its own organic food at the sprawling school premises. Students get organic fruits and vegetables in their meals which keep them healthy and fit.

BGIS is leaving no stone unturned for a smooth transition of students from home-based schooling during lockdown to formal schooling.
