BGIS Vrindavan Annual Sports Day 2019

The Bhaktivedanta Gurukula and International School "Annual Sports Day" was held on 30th November up to 3rd of December 2019 at the new campus in Ajhai, Vrindavan.
BGIS Sports Day is a way to encourage and improve the students' discipline, determination, dedication, and commitment. On the opening ceremony, the athletes marched in the football ground and displayed their camaraderie and the participants pledged to keep the spirit of honesty, friendship, and sportsmanship. The students were divided into four teams, named as “Vrindavan”, “Nandgaon”, “Govardhan” and “Barsana”. The lighting of the torch officially declared the beginning of the sports festival.
There was a whirlwind of activities and games for all the participants for this occasion. A series of individual games including 100mts and 200mts race, high jump, long jump, shot-put, discus throw, badminton, table-tennis was held. A number of group matches like football, volleyball, kabaddi, cricket, relay race and tug of war were organized. The primary boys were also accommodated on different fun-games.
The Gurukul boys exhibited their competitiveness and sportsmanship in every game. They flaunted their excellent physical skills and strength. Team members cheered for their players for defeating their opponents. Even the enthusiastic small boys showed unparalleled energy and stamina.
The extravagant sports chronicle was concluded by honoring the individual and team winners with medals and trophies. The awarding ceremonies were graced and presented by the chief guests, Mr. Nitin Gaud (SDM), His Grace Pancharatna Das and his wife, Her Grace Atitaguna Devi Dasi. The overall group champion was awarded to Barsana Team.
