The students prepared themselves very well and thoroughly studied the whole Krishna Book by Srila Prabhupada, which consists of 25 chapters of Krishna’s pastime. All the questions and topics of Extempore Speech and Quiz Competition were based on Krishna book. The students were all excellent in Extempore Speech and Krishna Quiz. The dance and skit presentations of each school were all exceptional and it enthralled the audience with their expressions and moves. The beautiful costumes, fluid dance movements, and fascinating props made it tough for the judges to decide the winner. The judges for Extempore Speech were Sriman Vaishit (an English Teacher for 24 years), Srimati Anju Malhotra (Principal of Heritage Public School), His Grace Achut Krishna Das (Communication Trainer) and Archana Bhagat (Supreme Court Lawyer). The judges for Skit Competition were Mr. Deep Jaitley (TV Actor), Mrs. Sheetal Srivastav (Ms. Delhi 2016), Mr. Manoj Srivastav (Super Model), Dr. Sushmita Goswami (Assistant Professor of GLA University), and Mr. Brijesh Goswami (Assistant Professor of GLA University). The BGIS bagged the highest points on each category, but since we are the host of the event, we gave way to visiting schools for the awards. The Gurukul Boys performed the astounding “Dasavatar”. Our effervescent dance troupe surprised and mesmerized everyone by their amazing movements and energetic choreography. We also presented a wonderful skit about the pastime of Sudama and Krishna. The audience enjoyed every moment of the program. It was indeed an extravagant and memorable show. The judges and guests highly complimented the efforts put in by the BGIS community.
We would like to congratulate all the winners and all the schools for their enthusiastic participation. We also would like to give our greatest appreciation to all the teachers and students of BGIS for making this event a grand success. Thank you so much to our School Director, His Grace Lila Purusottama Das Prabhu ji for his inspiration and encouragement to organize this occasion. We are looking forward to a bigger event in the future.
