BGIS celebrates Hindi week

Hindi, an official language in India. Hindi got its name from the Persian word Hind, which means “Land of Indus River”. On 14th September 1949, the Government of India accepted the Hindi language as the official language. Hindi became the only working language of the Union Government in 1965. Hindi is considered the fourth most-spoken first language in the world, after Mandarin Chinese, Spanish and English.
- It belongs to the Indo-Aryan division of the Indo-European family of languages. Many aspirants decide to give the IAS Exam in the Hindi language.
- UPSC Aspirants are expected to have some knowledge of the National Language that may be beneficial for UPSC Prelims.
- UPSC has asked several questions from this portion in previous years. This topic is essential in the Polity and History sections of the UPSC Syllabus.
Keeping the importance of language in mind BGIS, Vrindaranyam, giving equal importance to all languages has celebrated Hindi week from 7september to 10 September. children from grades 1 to 12 are engaged in different activities like storytelling, debate, article writing etc in Hindi. Children are encouraged to come and speak on the stage. Our Hindi department HOD Chandrasekhar prabhuji had inspired the children by sharing some facts about the language and its importance in the future.
Children very enthusiastically took part and to encourage them school felicitated the children with small gifts as token of appreciation.
