Bhaktivedanta Gurukula and International School celebrated Sri Nityananda Trayodasi with great gaiety and all spiritual fervor on Thursday, February 25, with many students and teachers flocking in together after lockdown.
This day marks the auspicious appearance day of Shri Nityananda Prabhu. He appeared as Shri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu’s principal associate for spreading the Sankirtana (congregational chanting) movement of the Holy Names of the Lord.
The start was with the lecture on Shri Nityananda Prabhu’s life by the school CAO, HG Radhakant Prabhu, followed by a Mridanga demonstration and enchanting Kirtan by Middle School students.
Different pastimes of the Lord Nityananda came alive with the two dramas staged in the assembly courtyard by middle school and senior school students.
Abhishekam of deities with all Vedic rituals was performed by the temple priests and other devotees. Aarti and kirtan followed again.
HG Lila Govind Prabhu, the Vice-principal of the school, thanked all the devotees for their active participation and all the volunteers for their dedicated services.
After Maha Mangal aarti, a sumptuous Maha Prasadam was served to everyone.
