Published On: 2018-11-18

Congratulations to Kautilya of 4th class for placing first in Group B category in Bhagavad Gita Recitation Competition organized by Chinmaya Mission in Dehradun last 18-19th of August. Over 100 students participated in the competition which included students from well-known schools. Other Gurukula students who took home individual prizes were:

Gopal Rao (Grade-4): Third Prize in Group B
Kuwar K Kaushik (Grade-7): Third Prize in Group C
Sitananda Yadav (Grade-7): Third Prize in Group D

It was a remarkable feat by our students and everyone was really impressed by their performance. Thank you so much to Kavita Mataji and Kalpana Mataji for preparing them nicely for the competition.

In another competition, our students participated in “Freedom Cup” an inter-school debate tournament organized by Birla School. The event was conducted at two levels; Junior (grades 9 and 10) and Senior (grades 11 and 12). There were nine schools competed, including Rajiv International, Kanha Makhan, Sacred Heart, Mathura Army School, etc..

Harsh Gupta and Kapil Mawai took home the 1st prize for senior level with a tie with Kanha Makhan School as both teams successfully argued their case. The topic was “Social Media are just sophisticated means of stalking people”. Mohan Srivastava and Chaitanya Sri of 10th grade competed for junior level. They were excellent and got huge applause in the rebuttal round but the final judgment fell short in our favor.

We would like to thank Shyamlata mataji who trained the junior participants and Shruti mataji who trained the senior participants.
We would like to congratulate also Dhruva Nimalam, the son of Madhumati Mataji, he won the gold medal in Karate Championship in Meerut.
Congratulations once again to all our students and teachers. You have made us all proud, with your sincere determination and serious efforts.
